Parallel Circuits

We mentioned prior, that there were 2 types of circuits, SERIES and PARALLEL. So far, all we have talked about is series. Now we are going to discuss the difference between a series and a PARALLEL circuit. In the series circuit, all the electricity followed the same path.

Parallel Circuits – the Plague!

Now that I have you thoroughly confused, let me make things as clear as mud for you.Let’s begin with a very simple circuit: 2 resistors and 1 battery.

Series – Parallel Resistances the Combination

Whenever we work with circuits in the real world, they are seldom as straightforward as a simple series or parallel circuit. Normally, they are a combination of the two, called a SERIES-PARALLEL circuit. While they look forbidding at first, you must keep in mind that ALL circuits can be broken down into smaller parts. They can be made simpler to work with. Such is the case with the Series-Parallel circuit.

Magnetic Induction – The Flip Side

previously, we discussed the fact that a wire conducting an electric current, generates a magnetic field around it. Along the same lines, when a magnetic field, radiating from a permanent magnet, passes through a wire or coil of wire, it induces an electrical current on the wire.

Loup coupler monitor microwave power levels

Link Microtek has to offer a range of small microwave loop couplers, higher values than comparable directional cross-guide couplers, and those are imported for use in X-ray machines.
Suitable for monitoring microwave power levels in applications as diverse as X-ray equipment and radar antennas, the AM-LC series of loop couplers span frequencies from 2.6 to 40.0GHz and can reach as high directional characteristics such as 40dB, so that accurate measurements are made.
